“Creativity & Design in Collaborative / Distributed Environments” talk at Social Media Week 2012

Social Media Week is the highly anticipated worldwide event exploring the social, cultural and economic impacts of  seminars, discussions, networking events and more. Its mission is to help people and organizations connect through collaboration, learning and the sharing of ideas and information.

I’m honored to have been invited by the organizers — our friends at DT Communications Asia Pacific — to speak as the Local Coordinator for theInteraction Design Association () at the Social Media Week Shanghai 2012: In this presentation, I share some of my research during my MA Design Practice at Northumbria University when I was investigating on Creating Innovative Design Software Solutions within Collaborative/Distributed Design Environments.

Itamar Medeiros

Originally from Brazil, Itamar Medeiros currently lives in Germany, where he works as Lead Product Design Strategist at SAP and promotes User Experience Design as visiting lecturer at Köln International School of Design. Working in the Information Technology industry since 1998, Itamar Medeiros has helped truly global companies in several countries (Argentina, Brazil, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, The Netherlands, Poland, United Arab Emirates, United States) create great user experience through advocating Design and Innovation principles. During his 7 years in China, he championed the User Experience Design discipline as User Experience Manager at Autodesk and Local Coordinator of the Interaction Design Association (IxDA) in Shanghai
