Corporate Identity

My dad was an Engineer, and loved computers, so I thought that’s what I wanted to do as a career. I remember being on the 2nd year of Engineering major… and hating it! Then I met one of my sister’s friend who was going to Graphic Design school. She showed me all the “cool stuff” she was doing for her major, such as corporate identity Logos, Product Packaging, Posters, Banners! I fell in love immediately.

So I quit Engineering school and got accepted in the Industrial Design program at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Those was the best four years of my life, and everything I have today: my critical, analytical and synthesis skills, the thirsty for empathising with customers, my curiosity to learn about other cultures (which led to my international career) started there!

I ended specializing in User Experience design, but my early corporate identity work (that these days I sparsely do it out of passion) still shapes a lot of my thinking around how experiences help build a brand.

Corporate Identity

Branding and Corporate Identity is not only a matter of logotypes but the totality of all visuals, language, functionality etc. that customers will perceive as representative for the company or product and is thus subject to targeted development and deployment.
