Is it possible to achieve high quality results in your projects working remotely with geographically distant team members? How to engage and reach full team collaboration while developing ideas and design complex products and services in that scenario? What are the ways to guarantee the best user experience when you are not meeting in person with other team members?
In this talk at IxDA‘s Interaction’18, Luciana Terceiro shares her learnings on the problems and solutions on a problem dear to my heart (for which I received a Distinction Award from Northumbria University): remote collaboration. She also shows how to keep to an effective, productive and asynchronous way of work.
Luciana Terceiro is a UX designer working with digital products since 1998. In 2003 she focused her career on information architecture, user research and interaction design.
For 11 years she worked as an interaction designer and 6 years leading a large UX and UI team at UOL, one of the largest ISP and news portal in Portuguese language.
In 2015, she co-founded Mola Collective, an organization focused on design and innovative processes for small businesses and NGO’s.
Since last year Luciana has been collaborating on several projects in an user-centered design and innovation consultant startup called Round Pegs. She has the opportunity to work with multicultural and international professionals where she dives deep into the challenges of remote work while establishing a good process to guarantee an engaging and successful environment.
With a Master in Market Research specialized in Communication, Luciana has also taught UX Design and Design Thinking processes and tools at PUC – Pontifical Catholic University, São Paulo, one of the largest private universities of Brazil. She also works as IxDA local leader of São Paulo chapter and Service Design Network, chapter Brazil.
