Information Technology in Brazil: team of Brazilian students win “Programming World Cup”

A team of Brazilian students invented a software that creates custom clothes automatically for every body type. The service was chosen the winner of the 2015 Imagine Cup in Seattle recently.

The award was presented by Satya Nadella, chief executive of Microsoft, which promotes the Imagine Cup. In addition to the US$ 50,000 in cash, the team will formally join a counseling process, which includes mentoring with the Sayya himself.

Members of eFitFashion team brought a blend technology and fashion to the competition. Letti Bianca, 21, and Daniel Tsuha, 25, come from the Information Systems course and Juliana Pirani, 26, from fashion program. Until being awarded by Microsoft, students of the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH), the USP Leste, spent three years working on the project. The project received the assistance of teachers Isabel Italiano and Luciano Araújo.
