In the month of June 2013, São Paulo received the 10th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial. Organized by ADG Brasil, the national Graphic Designers Association, the Biennial has been, since its first edition in 1992, a grand celebration of Brazilian Graphic Design. It is Brazil’s most traditional assembly of members from the creative industry – professionals, clients, suppliers, scholars, educators and students –, featuring not only a selection of outstanding recently-developed projects, but also lectures, conferences, guided tours, parallel shows, publication launches and other activities that commemorate and promote Brazilian design. The event kick-starts with an opening ceremony at Memorial da América Latina, on Friday June 14th, where approximately 70 projects, selected by an international jury made up of professionals from 14 countries, will be awarded for their outstanding work.

I had the privilege of taking part of the Jury of this edition and analyzed over 100 pieces of digital work in the Categories of Apps/Software, Websites and Interactive Media (skip to 8:25 mins to see some of the selected pieces).
