Google Chrome surpassed Internet Explorer and became the most popular browser in Brazil, according to the company StatCounter. The browser Google has reached 39.81% of market share in Brazil, against 34.43% of the Microsoft browser.

Firefox, Mozilla, was in third place with 23.83% share. In November 2009, Chrome had only 7.19% market share, while Internet Explorer was leading with 57.03%. The Web browser appeared in second place, accounting for 33.63%.

According to StatCounter, Chrome surpassed Firefox in November and became the second most popular browser in the world. The browser of Google was second only to Internet Explorer, which holds 40.63% of the world market. In November, Chrome 25.7% stake in the world (above 4.66% it had in November 2009), slightly higher than Firefox, which holds 25.23% share. The StatCounter says that their statistics are based on data collected in a sample of more than 15 billion “page views” per month from a network of three million websites
